We’re rolling out the tasting portion of SommTalks.com this week, to ring in the summer season. Tune in and hear us taste wine with sommeliers and winemkaers, describe their wine picks and tell the story behind these labels.

Today, with Charles Ford of The Bristol Chicago, we taste an acclaimed Pouilly-Fumé by enigmatic Didier Dagueneau sided by another Sauvignon Blanc, this one from Lake County California, produced by the team of dynamic winemakers Claude Koeberle & Donald Plumley, emulating Dagueneau’s style. Finally, we taste an unfiltered Niagara Pinot Noir from Norman Hardie’s Prince Edward Country, Southern Ontario, Canada winery, located a couple of hours from Toronto and about 4-5 hours from Montreal. Hear Ford’s pairing suggestions to dishes at The Bristol, as well.
